Quick Dimensions
Use Quick Dimensions when you already know the approximate sizes of the working-facility components. Add holding pens, sorting pens, crowd pens, alleys, tubs, loading lanes, trap pens, or other supported elements and let the estimator derive material quantities from those dimensions.
Plan Mode
Use Plan Mode when a visual layout is important. Draw fence lines and pen polygons and place gates, chute, alley, tub, loading chute/ramp, and existing structures when supported.
Keep assumptions aligned
If you compare the two modes, make sure both represent the same project scope, material system, post spacing, gates, equipment, labor, tax, and contingency assumptions.
Shared boundaries
Be careful not to count the same physical boundary twice when translating a conceptual pen arrangement into linear footage.
