Use PDF or Print when
- you need a project record that is easy to read;
- you are sharing an estimate or plan with another person;
- you want a dated snapshot of assumptions and results;
- you need a paper copy for field or office use.
Before exporting
Review the project name, units, key assumptions, warnings, and primary result. If the tool includes notes, include the notes needed for someone else to understand the estimate.
PDF through print-friendly output
Depending on the tool and browser, PDF may be generated through print-friendly HTML or the device's Save as PDF capability.
Important limitation
A PDF is a report, not a project file. Keep the .ra file separately if you want to reopen and edit the project later.
