How RanchAssist Handles Project Data

No account required by default

Standalone RanchAssist tools are designed to work without requiring a user account.

No permanent RanchAssist project database by default

RanchAssist does not permanently store ranch, herd, financial, map, or standalone project data on RanchAssist servers by default.

Active session

The browser may use sessionStorage to protect active work from accidental refresh or same-tab navigation. This is temporary session resilience, not long-term saving.

Long-term user-controlled saving

Stateful tools support local .ra project files. The user chooses when to create the file and controls where it is stored on the device.

Exports and sharing

PDF, CSV, PNG, GeoJSON, Print, Email, and Copy Summary are user-initiated outputs. They serve different purposes from project saving.

Clear Session

Clearing a session removes the active browser project state but does not delete files already saved to the user's device.
