Different RanchAssist tool
Meaning: The file is a valid RanchAssist project, but it belongs to another tool.
What to do: Open the tool named in the message and import the file there. Version 1 project files are tool-specific unless a tool explicitly supports a compatible import workflow.
Newer project format
Meaning: The project was created with a newer version that the current tool cannot safely interpret.
What to do: Open the project in a newer compatible deployment. Do not manually remove version metadata to force an import.
Not a RanchAssist project
Meaning: The selected file does not contain the required RanchAssist project markers.
What to do: Choose a .ra file originally saved from RanchAssist.
Project file could not be read
Meaning: The file may be incomplete, damaged, truncated, or otherwise invalid.
What to do: Try another saved copy. If you intentionally edited the file outside RanchAssist, return to an unmodified copy when possible.
Project is incomplete
Meaning: Required state is missing, so restoring the project could produce misleading or broken behavior.
What to do: Use another saved copy or recreate the missing work in the originating tool.
Older project updated
Meaning: RanchAssist recognized an older supported state format and migrated it.
What to do: Review the project, confirm key inputs and outputs, then save a new .ra copy in the current format.
