Protect important work first
If the project contains significant unsaved work and Save Project is available, create a .ra file before reloading, clearing the session, or making major changes.
Common issues
Per-tank amount looks wrong
Confirm product rate units, target GPA, tank size, and whether the rate is per acre or per 100 gallons.
GPA from calibration is unexpected
Check boom width/nozzle spacing and count, travel speed, nozzle GPM, and catch-test volume/time units.
Last tank amount is larger than expected
Verify project acres and acres-per-tank. The last tank should reflect only the remaining acres.
Cost per acre is wrong
Check package size/price units, application rate, and whether labor/equipment/fuel are entered per hour or as another cost basis.
If the result still does not make sense
Return to the primary inputs and verify units, then open View Calculation Details where available. Compare the displayed formula inputs with the values you intended to enter. Next, remove nonessential Advanced assumptions and add them back one at a time.
If a map feature is involved
Check geometry at close zoom, layer visibility, and whether the correct feature is selected. A misplaced point or duplicate feature can materially change area, distance, or cost results.
If export or project saving fails
Use the shared Help Center articles for .ra project compatibility, browser downloads, PDF/Print, CSV, PNG/Map, and GeoJSON troubleshooting.
Planning note
The pesticide or herbicide label is the controlling source for legal rate, PPE, restrictions, re-entry, grazing/haying intervals, environmental precautions, and tank-mixing requirements. RanchAssist does not recommend products or off-label rates; users must enter the label rate themselves.
